Neon Space physical redeemables and beyond…
As we move into 2023, we here at Neon Space have been revisiting our long term goals and aspirations as we continue to adapt to an ever-evolving space and broader market in NFTs and crypto.
We’ve gathered that we would like to better engage with the collectible audience with both our artwork and content. This comes through in two ways. One, we are aiming to release physical Neon Space branded products that are bought via fiat as well as small portions being obtained through the Neon Blend Token and our NFT collection. Second, we aim to participate in the various in-person events like conventions, comic-cons, and other IRL meetups where artists can sell and showcase their artwork. This is a means to expand our Twitch presence, engage with collectors directly, and connect both the NFT and physical collectible spaces in a tangible way.
What kinds of physicals are you selling?
To begin, we’ll be selling stickers of our existing artwork. These will be available in batches of 120, with the stickers hand numbered and signed by Paul, our visual artist.
75 will be available for sale with traditional fiat currencies via our Shopify store for $3 with shipping included (follow this link). The sale will begin at 2:15pm PT on 02/17/23.
20 stickers obtained through Neon Blend Tokens (see further details below).
25 stickers will be held aside for in-person sale via conventions and other in-person events.
As we test out this concept and further build inventory, we aim to move into more mediums of physicals like iridescent or glow-effect stickers, pins, and eventually actual neon signs.
Neon Blend Token redemption
We are exploring options on how to build this into a smart contract, but for the time being we will be doing this manually to ensure randomization and fairness so these end up in the hands of real collectors.
The 15 stickers redeemed via Blend Tokens will be decided via a marble race (signup here). The cutoff for signups is 1:00pm PT on 02/17/23.
The winners will be emailed a whitelisted Shopify link and a redemption code that will make the transaction free, including shipping. In exchange, these users will send 2 Neon Blend tokens to the burn.neon wallet where these tokens will be burned from circulation.
Other thoughts and goals
We are considering following in the footsteps of other creators like Valorandvellum with her Soonay collection by releasing new artwork exclusive to physical items purchased that have a digital NFT counterpart once purchased. We are still exploring some of these concepts. We continue to keep innovating on building value for both collecting and holding Neon Space NFTs as well as continuing use-cases for the Neon Blend Token.
We are also aiming to release a profile picture project sometime this year that will feature animated PFP NFTs in the Neon Space style with a static image counterpart to allow use on all your social media accounts. More info to follow in the coming months as we build out the concept!
